Lion King: Scar's jealousy led to contempt for his brother, Mufasa, and
his status within his society led him to betray and kill Mufasa.
~So often we allow the desires of our flesh to cause us to turn our back on our "brother" and even kill him [metaphorically speaking]. We get jealous, desiring his blessings and belongings. We live in hate and contempt so much that we begin to forget that God gave us each the power of life and death. We take that power and we cut down and belittle our brother to the point that we destroy the essence of the creature God created.
Lion King: Scar manipulated Simba into thinking he was to blame and then Simba ran away and Timone and Pumba find him.
~A horrid man passes the blame to someone else. He does not own up to his mistakes, but he deceives others into thinking it is their fault, once again cutting someone down.
~Sometimes we are forced to remove ourselves from a situation and take time to reexamine. Like with Timone and Pumba, God sends us people to take our lives in a new direction. If they are truly God-sent then they will help you to develop, grow, and mature and get you on the right track that God has mapped out for you; although Timone could not understand the part he and Pumba played in preparing Simba for his duties as king. Before the accident Simba was on the right path and geared towards his "purpose". Scar's jealousy, hatred, and deceiving stirred Simba away. We are provided with those who can offer wisdom. Like Simba, we must still confront our pasts once back on the right path. However, we take our lessons learned and we apply them to our tribulations and we triumph, like Simba, taking our rightful places.
***ok so yeah Lion King is Lion King but it does offer some points concerning life. I have seen this movie like a thousand times and this time things just took on a new outlook. We need to stop and reexamine how we treat one another. Even though I reached these "conclusions" through a cartoon movie they are still true....these are just a snippet of my thoughts on the subject...MORE COMING SOON!!!
